Privacy policy

This policy covers the website www.mirror-fit.com. It does not cover the Mirror Fit fitting service inside retailers' shops; retailers inform their customers about that service themselves.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open the website, the hosting provider processes technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

3. No tracking, browser storage for the try-on

This website does not use analytics or advertising tools. Fonts and images of the website itself are served from our own server. Only when you use the virtual try-on (section 5) does our try-on service store a few technical entries in your browser's local storage, for example which look you are trying on and which browser tab started a try-on. They contain no photo and no name and are needed to run the try-on you started (§ 25 (2) TDDDG).

4. Demo requests and email

The demo request form does not send data to us by itself. It opens an email in your own mail program with the details you entered; you decide whether to send it. When you write to us, we process your name, company, contact details and message to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the data when it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

5. Virtual try-on with your own photo

In the section "Try it yourself" you can try a look on your own photo. The try-on opens only when you click the button and asks for your consent before you upload a photo. We process your photo, the generated images and technical data (IP address, time, browser) to create and check the try-on and to protect the service against misuse (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, your consent; Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for security).

The try-on service runs on Google Cloud; photos and results are stored in the EU (Netherlands). To create and check the images we use AI models of other providers as processors: OpenRouter Inc. and OpenAI (USA) create the image, Google checks it against the original item. These providers may process the photo outside the EU; transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare Turnstile protects the service against automated misuse.

Your uploaded photo is deleted automatically after 24 hours at the latest, the generated images after 2 days at the latest. We do not use your photo to train AI models. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

6. Return cost calculator

The values you enter in the calculator are processed only in your browser and are not transmitted to us.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Contact us at privacy@mirror-fit.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Our sources are linked to the websites of third parties. Their providers are responsible for data processing on those websites.
